Rize, a Singapore-based agritech start-up, is helping farmers use alternate wetting and drying (AWD) technology that helps reduce the methane gas emissions from rice production.
The company is encouraging the wider use of AWD by selling seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, and other inputs to farmers for a slightly lower price in exchange for implementing the technology.
Rize is currently working with farming cooperatives in Indonesia and Vietnam with plans to expand to South and Southeast Asia.
