The Philippine Department of Agriculture, in collaboration with Rice Productivity Advocacy Incorporated and the local government unit, is preparing for the 11th National Rice Technology Forum.
The forum aims to push the adoption of hybrid rice technology and showcase the best and latest farming technologies through the collective efforts of the national and local governments, the private sector, and farmers. This is part of the department’s strategy to increase farmer’s yield and productivity and ensure food sufficiency, availability, accessibility, and affordability.
The event will be held in Butuan City, the center of the CARAGA (Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur) Region in Mindanao. A technology demonstration will be established in Butuan with a total area of 100 hectares.
