Vietnam to help boost Senegal’s agriculture sector

Việtnam and Senegal will sign a number of agreements to boost bilateral trade and investment, including the African country’s agriculture sector.

Traditionally, Senegal relies heavily on imported rice but the country’s demand is forecasted to increase this year due to the major locust outbreak in East Africa that led to serious crop damage.

Senegal hoped to see more Vietnamese firms investing in its rice production and other sectors.
